Bring database out of Standby / Read-Only

From Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

When using log shipping all your databases are typically set in Standby / Readonly mode. This means users and administrators can utilize the database for read purposes even while the logs are in a state upon restoring transaction files in order to keep the subscriber in synch to the time frames configured.

In the case of a disaster and when the standby database is required for read/write, you must bring the database up in online, read/write mode.

To do this is the same as bringing a database out of recovering with the RESTORE statement
